Philosophically, I oppose the idea that intellectual content (information) should be owned; therefore I would theoretically prefer to release all material over which I have control to the public domain. Since our current social and political systems offer what I consider unreasonable protection for control rather than dissemination of intellectual content, however, it seems pragmatic to release material under a copyleft license that may prevent it or its derivatives ever being copyrighted.

The GNU General Public License (GPL) and Creative Commons (CC) licenses both provide this sort of copy left protection, so unless otherwise specified, all software on this domain (www.bricol.net) is released under GPL version 3 or later and all other intellectual content under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license (CC-BY-SA) version 3.0 unported.
